Easter weekend inevitably means consuming an inordinate amount of chocolate. Bank holiday demands an alcoholic beverage (or several). The real question: why not mix the two?
This Easter, London’s Mr Fogg’s House of Botanicals is celebrating with a vast range of delicious treats and a special Mount Gay Rum cocktail menu, which will be available from Thursday 18 to Monday 22 at their Fitzrovia space.
Each bespoke mix will cost just £10.50 each, including an aptly named “Easterific Bunny” cocktail made from Mount Gay Black Barrel, Cacao Blanc, Orgeat, Cointreau Noir, double Cream and a sprig of Mint, topped with soda water and served in a tin dipped in chocolate. For those who want something nuttier, the “Colour Me Egg-cited” mixes Mount Gay Black Barrel and Tokaj Cocci with a peanut foam, served in a sniffer dipped in pink chocolate. And for a real slice of heaven, the “Egg Scramble” – made with Mount Gay XO, Cacao liqueur and Zabaione – is fabulously served in an edible chocolate egg.
As if you needed further convincing, renowned DJ Auntie Maureen will be spinning swing tracks live at Mr Fogg’s while you’re sipping.
