“I won’t be quiet for anyone”, opens “History Made“, a serene and self-soothing ode to independence from London-born band Paradisia. “There’s no history made in saying nothing.”

It’s a pertinent message in 2019, especially when made by such a fearless female trio. After leaving their management in 2018 and struggling to find producers who fully understood their vision, Sophie-Rose (vocals), Anna (harp) and Kristy (vocals, keyboard) decided to self-produce the track, making it their first release in two years. From the song-writing to visuals and creative direction, Paradisia have taken full control over the direction of their music, and hope the track will inspire others to apply the same self-assurance to their own lives.

Citing Solange, Eliza and Charlotte Day Wilson as influences, the band is set to rise on their own terms this year, with their own unique interpretation of modern R&B.
