There isn’t a hint of jitter in the output of North London rapper ItsNate. Influenced by everything from grime to R&B, his polished production is characterised by self-assured, languid pacing and impressive lyrical flare, his nuanced rhymes a fresh narrative about everyday London life.
And his new release “Time Out” is no disappointment. A moody R&B-inflected track, waxing lyrical about the importance of giving loved ones space.
“The song is a story, a story I feel a lot of people can relate to,” ItsNate explains. “Everybody needs time sometimes. Even when you really like or love a thing or person, space is essential. And I wanted to create something that gave you that narrative and feeling. Selasse made the beat, that gave me the canvas and I added the colour and Silence helped me bring it to life.”
