Pretty-meets-punk summed up the Marques’ Almeida’s woman this season, as the British label showed at Paris Fashion Week for AW19.
A searingly vibrant colour palette came to life in an eclectic way as grunge details were juxtaposed with softer flourishes. Exhibit A? Playful digital printed horse tees were paired with metallic mod-style bell skirts, but the devil was in the detail with punky neon cat-eye liner and spiked collars.
Elsewhere, prints were a priority with snakeskin and moody florals making an appearance. And then the Instagrammable cherry on top? Dreamy boots galore – calf-high and ankle with warped chunky heels, imbued a subtle western influence.
