WATCH: JOEY YU × NOIAMREISS

This new film series sees the artists/illustrators discuss the internet and the future of art.

Last week, south London rap maverick Loyle Carner chose east Londoner Barney Artist as his up-and-comer to champion in the Tate Collective’s new film series, Artist Meets.

In the first of the series of four videos, directed by British-Algerian filmmaker Nadira Amrani, the pair bantered about how they met and chatted about the future of music, art, as well as dinner plans (watch it here).

This week, we have all-round dream-girl, artist, illustrator and animator Joey Yu – known for her vibrant etchings – in conversation with emerging artist and jack-of-all-trades, noiamreiss.

They talk about how they met, the power of the internet, and the future of art.

Accompanied by a series of portraits by “Boys” photographer Rosie Matheson, Artist Meets looks to explore the future of art and the way institutions find and platform talent.

Stay tuned for the next video in the series. Find out more at Tate Collective.
