BACKSTAGE AT MFW: MSGM

Perspex cowboy boots, feathers and tie-dye to “dream” big.

Like a surreal dream, or an impressionist painting, the MSGM show at Milan Fashion week was thing of vibrant beauty and head-turning fun.

The motto, “dream! dream! dream!”, made an appearance on more than one piece, populating the sleeves of blazers and emblazoned across knits. Stretchy jersey dresses and blurred digital floral prints hammered home that in this case, more is very much more.

Founder of MSGM, Massimo Giorgetti, was supposedly inspired by the Depeche Mode song “Dream On,” and a wonderful world of perspex cowboy boots, denim tie-dye and striped feather mini-dresses (all Italian hand-dyed, fyi), made this a possibility.

Dream big indeed.
