Having first burst onto the scene last year with his 2017 hit “Jewels”, Warhola – real name Oliver Symons – has made a name for himself with his electronic stylings and captivating live performances.
Bringing that magnetic energy from his live shows to his latest video, Warhola is dropping the visuals to “Promise”, directed by Marie Wynants and Stef Aerts. Contrasting the upbeat nature of the song with some darker visuals, the pair say of the vid: “The protagonist, played by Oliver Symons (aka Warhola), is being put to the test by a rut and is driven by despair. His inner struggle is something that’s translated to the different, contrasting characters who emerge in the video […] We wanted to put the focus on translating the feelings to the locations, which reflects in the setting. The transformation between light and dark is characteristic for the video.”
The first track to be taken from his upcoming album Young Loving, if “Promise” is anything to go by, you’ll be able catch us right at the front of the line for release day.
