JOY AS AN ACT OF RESISTANCE EXHIBITION

Bristolian punks Idles announce a pop-up art exhibition to celebrate their sophomore album.

To celebrate the release of their highly anticipated second album Joy as an Act of Resistance, Bristol babes Idles have announced a pop-up exhibition to take place at the end of this month. Giving the album to a select group of arty pals, the quintet asked their friends to interpret their songs into pieces of art, resulting in 18 pieces of work across several mediums, including one created by The Maccabees’ Orlando Weeks.

Taking place at HM Electrics Gallery in London on the 30th and 31st August, it’s free entry (yay!) and all of the artwork is available to buy with all proceeds going towards the Samaritans charity. Idles have also rustled up a deluxe vinyl with all the artwork too and have made a cheeky vid – complete with some excellent Dev dance moves – to explain more. Check it out now…
