Drake is producing a teen TV drama starring Zendaya.

You might have spotted some mysterious clips doing the rounds recently.

Circulated by master of mystery (and ice-cold lightning-fast comebacks), Drake himself, the short teasers show Wonderland fave Zendaya sat on a sofa, with what appears to be a house party rampaging in the background. The light flickers unnervingly as a glitter-smeared Zendaya registers the camera with a glassy expression.

Well, it turns out that as well as finding time to drop a 25-track album (casual), Drizzy has been busy making his return to TV – this time behind the camera. HBO have announced their upcoming teen drama series, Euphoria, which will see the rapper helm as an executive producer – joined by his manager, Future the Prince.

Based on an Israeli show of the same name, “Euphoria follows a group of high school students as they navigate drugs, sex, identity, trauma, social media, love and friendship,” HBO has announced.

Pegged as “Kids-meets-Trainspotting” by HBO’s drama chief Francesca Orsi, Euphoria will be produced by distribution kings, A24 (Moonlight, Ladybird and Jonah Hill’s upcoming directorial debut Mid90s), so we can only expect all sorts of indie joy heading in our general direction soon enough.
