Sabrina the Teenage Witch was a real 90s mood. A mood which involved all of us running home from school, loosening our ties, diving in front of the telly and watching the much-loved titular witch get zapped into weird outfits in the opening credits of every episode.
We adored the light-hearted trials and tribulations of balancing school with, well, being a teenage witch. Salem the talking cat, jolly aunties Helda and Zelda, and cheeseball cookie-cutter school crush Harvey (aka “Farmboy”). But now the poster for the long-awaited Netflix reboot has been unveiled, and it’s confirmation that it will a lot darker than the show we once knew.
Something wicked this way comes.

Revealed on Twitter by Archie Comics (who penned the comics inspiring the show and also Riverdale), the retro first-look poster of The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina shows a silhouette of Sabrina with her cat Salem, and a pentagon symbol dotting the “i” in the title.
Now, we already know that Wonderland babes Kiernan Shipka and Ross Lynch will take on Sabrina and Harvey, plus Netflix have confirmed that the show will be “tonally in the vein of Rosemary’s Baby and The Exorcist.” *Gulps*
What else do we know? The Netflix description adds: “The Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina imagines the origin and adventures of Sabrina The Teenage Witch as a dark coming-of-age story that traffics in horror, the occult and, of course, witchcraft.”
