PLAYLIST: EASY LIFE

The five-piece take us through their on-the-road soundtrack.

Easy Life are one of the most buzzed about bands atm. Hailing from the Midlands, the quintet – made up of Murray, Sam, Louis, Cass and Jordan – are making undisputed bops that blend together influences from hip-hop to jazz.

Set to wow crowds at shitloads of festivals this year (including Y Not Festival), we got the guys to take us through the tracks they’ll be playing in heavy rotation on the road between their various show-stopping performances. Check it out now…

The Internet – “Roll (Burbank Funk)”

The rhythm section in this tune is so dirty. I have my face screwed up the entire time this is playing.

Col3trane – “Malibu Sleep”

Vocal production on this record is so dope, it gets me very excited. So much space in the mix, it’s lush. Banger.

Oscar Jerome – “Subdued”

The drums on this record sound great. Love the ‘ad lib’ style in which the vocal is delivered throughout. The whole tune just feels like loads of musicians having a great time in a room together. He’s cool as fuck as well, I rate what he’s about.

Kali Uchis – “Miami” (feat BIA)

To be honest, I could have chosen any of the tracks off this album. For me, one of the best albums of 2018 so far without a doubt. This track in particular I love to smash whilst driving at night time, windows down catching flies in my open mouth.

Bee Gees – “More Than A Woman”

Need I say anything about this tune. Something for everyone and their mothers.

Rejjie Snow – “The Rain”

This track feels like a comedown – I love it. The beat is unbelievably filthy, jheez.

Ross From Friends – “John Cage”

This track is euphoric, proper summer late night jam. I love that they make all the music with a band live, mad respect for recreating such deep productions live, I remove my proverbial hat.
