Bvlgari, the contemporary Italian jeweller master, has announced the opening of a renovated boutique in the London Selfridges department store, making us very happy! Thanks to the artistic talent of architect Peter Marino we don’t have to fly all the way to Italy to get a taste of Rome: this new boutique is infused with Mediterranean traits and a unique Italian touch, reproducing a journey through the 2700 years of Roman history and inspiration.

But the real attraction is represented by the VIP client area, reproduced in the style and charm of the original “Il Salottino Taylor”, the lounging room within the Via Condotti boutique in which Elizabeth Taylor spent countless hours while filming in Rome. Here Bvlgari’s precious creations can be viewed in a more intimate setting, shielded by a Maglia Pantheon grid.

The store’s decoration and furnishings fully express the balance between ancient and new, tradition and innovation, defining element of the Bvlgari spirit. The Selfridges boutique is more than a store: it is an experience, a full-body (and mind) immersion into the historical and aesthetic world of Bvlgari. It is a free-ticket entrance to the ultimate art and fashion exposition in the heart of London.

Spoiling us, Bvlgari are celebrating the new boutique launch with two exclusive Serpenti Forever Quilted Stardust bags in Wisteria Jade. Truly innovative, the quilted stardust was first introduced in the summer of 2017. This bag is the result of a first-ever technique developed by Bvlgari for which the quilted effect is obtained with micro studs, masterfully applied with a miniature invisible screw in the back. With striking rigor and edge, they trace a graphic pattern across the supple leather of this unique shoulder bag available in two shapes. A true work of art, if you ask us!
