TATTY DEVINE × POPPY’S PAPERCUTS

Girls got ideas!

Girls with a passion for jewellery and up for some self-celebration, listen up! Following the latest International Women’s Day, a collaboration between the East-London based jewellery brand Tatty Devine and bubbly artist Poppy Chancellor (responsible for creating the line Poppy’s Papercuts) has been created, giving place to an exclusive female focused design collection called “Girls Got Ideas”.

The collection was inspired by six incredible women from the creative industry – illustrator and designer Gemma Shiel, mural artist Lakwena McIver and transgender advocate Rhyannon Styles are just a few of those who contributed to enrich the collection with their individual experience of womanhood. Taken from intimate conversations with each woman, Poppy has created the papercuts that have then been reimagined in Tatty’s classic laser-cut acrylic style to create a range of sassy and super colourful jewellery range.

The collection’s message is pretty straightforward: women can (or better, must!) do whatever the heck they want, regardless of what other people say. Start an all-female basketball team! Hula-hoop in 9-inch platform roller-skates! Build your own company! Whatever makes you happy! From the “Change The World” ring to the “Be Who You Want” necklace, we couldn’t think of a better way to proudly voice one’s feminist beliefs in fashion this week.
