WONDERLIST

The songs we’re particularly obsessed with this week.

Biig Piig – “Flirt”

20-year-old singer and rapper Biig Piig is back with her latest track “Flirt” and if you’re gonna use any track to try and do just that, it should be this one. With sizzling R&B and jazz influences, it’s a sleek and soulful track taken from her upcoming debut EP “Biig Fan of the Sesh”. Side note: if you don’t think this is the best EP name you’ve ever heard, you would be wrong.

Hayley Kiyoko – “Curious”

Okay, so this has been out for a while and we’re behind the times, but better late than never right? Queer icon and up and coming pop phenomenon Hayley Kiyoko’s “Curious” is an undisputed banger about a complicated relationship. “This song is all about self-respect and knowing when to walk away when someone you care about is playing games,” Kiyoko explains. The first taste of her upcoming album Expectations, if this is any indication it’s gonna be full of bangers.

Kate Nash – “Life In Pink”

With her new album Yesterday Was Forever set to wow us all when it drops next week, Kate Nash is getting us even more excited with the release of her newest track “Life In Pink”. A biting and beautiful alt-pop number, it’s an exhilarating look at what Nash’s fourth album has in store.

Art School Girlfriend – “Moon”

A delicious piece of dark-pop, Art School Girlfriend is back and better than ever. Following on from her fantastic debut EP “Measures” last year, the haunting new cut glistens with electronic pulses and hypnotising sounds. Perhaps a hint at her exploring more of an electronic direction, it’s certainly proof that she’s not done wowing us yet.

Jack Antonoff and MØ – “Never Fall In Love”

I mean it’s a slight “no shit Sherlock” moment saying that this song slaps – with both MØ and Jack Antonoff on it, it was never not gonna be fab. Taken from upcoming silver-screen smash Love, Simon, it’s cheesy in all the best kinds of ways, with a beat that makes you immediately dance and wave-your-hands-in-the-air anthemic vocals. Definitely one to sing as loud as you can into a close friends face, we have been listening to it on repeat for an almost embarrassingly long amount of time.

Yxng Bxne – “Vroom”

If, like us, you’re clinging onto anything that suggests summer is coming, Yxng Bxne’s new banger “Vroom” is the perfect song to stick on. An afro-pop piece of perfection, the track will instantly have you moving along and pining for the warmer months. Further proof that Bxne is one of the most exciting new names in music, we can’t wait to see what he does next.

Sigrid – “Raw”

There’s only two types of people in this world: those who love Sigrid and those who lie about not loving Sigrid. Releasing her latest track “Raw”, the BBC Sound Of 2018 winner is once again proving why she is such an incredible talent whilst simultaneously making us fall in love with her even more. Hopefully the first taste of even more music we’re gonna be obsessing over this year, it’s a synth-soaked stunner and we can’t get enough.
