KENZO PRESENTS BRITNEY SPEARS

The Pop Queen fronts La Collection Memento No. 2.

At first glance, you may think that KENZO, Britney Spears and Peter Lindbergh might make an odd team, but people originally thought that about MTV Video Awards, bikinis and a huge yellow snake and look how that turned out. One word: iconic.

Such is the case with KENZO’s brand new La Collection Momento No. 2. Focussed on reinvention and revitalisation, creative directors Carol Lim and Humberto Leon dug through the KENZO vaults to find their inspiration in the house’s history. Pulling out iconic looks inspired by classic collections – such as standout KENZO motifs and the heavy denim focus driven from a love of the 1986 Paris runway debut of KENZO Jeans – the campaign is centred around the theme of icons.

Hence why the fashion brand have called on Britney Spears, whose name is synonymous with pop music and who we all know can rock a denim look better than most, and German photographer Peter Lindbergh, who ignited the age of the supermodel, to capture the collection the way it was meant to be.

Set to hit stores and online tomorrow, the collection is set to have you screaming “Gimme More” in no time…
