To say the Jacquemus video game is strong is verging on understatement territory. Think of the faux French vox pops and cool girl gang swimmers of AW13’s La Piscine, or the Eric Rohmer tinged full colour display that was SS14’s La Grande Motte; we’re pretty sure we’re not alone when we say we’d pay actual money to see them played out on the big screen, and likewise the latest short, above, directed by Gordon von Steiner.

Announcing Simon Porte Jacquemus’ new SS18 collection, La Bomba was lensed in Tenerife and takes place in just a single shot (!), boasting a cast of diverse personalities, amongst them models, dancers, an acrobat and Simon’s own cousin, Jean. Supported by The Woolmark Company – which according to the designer, “came naturally, considering how much I love wool” – we suggest you take five and indulge. Monday can wait.
