The house’s F is For… project returns to street art.
Believe it or not it’s already been a year since the debut of Fendi’s F is F… project (the brand’s unique millennial-run platform), and so this February the Italian fashion house is celebrating in bold new ways: first with the introduction of a unisex T-shirt, merging influences of both street style and street art, in a house first.
Following the visionary artist Pokras Lampas, who blurred frontiers and created the biggest Calligraffiti in Italy on the Palazzo Della Civiltà Italiana rooftop (yeah, that’s the Fendi HQ) early last year, next up F is For… has invited six street artists from around the world to unite in creating an innovative display of calligraffiti: The Ring of The Future.
With an inspired melting pot of languages creating the word “Freedom” in a yellow and black “ring” design – think English, Arabic, Hebrew, Korean, Chinese-Mandarin and Japanese – each artist here has collaborated to produce a visual embrace; where the last letter meets and melts into the next, creating a hypnotic, cosmopolitan loop.
The aforementioned, accompanying T-shirt boasts The Ring of The Future on its front, illuminated by tones of black and yellow on either a white or black background. By embracing the power of unity and celebrating Palazzo Della CIviltà Italiana rooftop as the place where everything becomes possible, Fendi promotes a spirit to enthuse all millennials. Long live F is For… Or something?
