The dating legends give us the 411.
The day is upon us (nearly). Yep, Valentine’s Day is fast approaching. For those in a couple, it’s a day to gaze lovingly into each other’s eyes and reminisce about all the good times you’ve shared whilst simultaneously uploading #relationshipgoals pics onto the gram. However for us singletons, the 14th often brings up anxiety attacks of dying alone or we end up eating shitloads of chocolate and then crying at The Notebook (which is sometimes just what you need, TBH).
However, if you wanna try your luck at finding the “one” this V-Day, we’ve got some helpful tips on where you should avoid like the plague. Think of us as your dating GPS…
An easy one to start with, don’t go anywhere near your phone book.
Has Dua Lipa not taught you anything? Like, you know he’s only calling ‘cause he’s drunk and alone.
But do go and give a dating app a go.
Instead of re-downloading Tinder for the 100th time and getting repetitive strain injury from constantly swiping left for an hour, maybe give an app like The Inner Circle a go. You can talk to whoever you want to and there’s no scrolling, so thumb workouts are a thing of the past!
Don’t go to a weird east London pop-up for something you’ve never heard of.
All that will happen is a hipster in a converted church somewhere in Bethnal Green will end up lecturing you about something you have no idea about and you’ll have to politely nod along whilst screaming inside. Not ideal.
Do go and try something new.
London is full of interesting things to do, so why not take a look at what’s out there and dive in? If you’re on The Inner Circle, the dating wizards behind it will make sure the people you match with have similar interests and hobbies, making it easy to find someone to go along with you!
Don’t go to try and find your soulmate in the bars round Clapham.
Unless you’re a fan of real estate agents with slicked-back hair or 18-year-olds fist bumping to “Despacito” while necking a WKD and squaring up with each other.
Do go check out the sights of west London.
Get your glad rags on and hit up a cocktail bar. Added bonus that all the eligible bachelors are already on The Inner Circle so you’ll be able to track down bae wherever you go.
Don’t go to an awkward “singles night”.
You can just guarantee it’ll get weird…
Do go to The Inner Circle’s classy singles event on 15 February.
Full of possible soulmates, the night is themed around a cocktail tasting tour of some of the most romantic cities in the world. Where do we sign up?
