MFW: FENDI MEN’S AW18

Silvia Venturini prepares for the departure lounge.

Bon Voyage

For those already foreseeing that spontaneous voyage (it may only be January but we’re getting those feels) – Fendi has you covered. Following the vision of Creative Director Silvia Venturini, the house’s AW18 Men’s collection integrates everything one could need for a suave trip to the airport (and beyond); who knows who you might meet whilst at Luton departure lounge, after all.

The ONLY Way is Hyper Luxury

In collaboration with Scottish artist Hey Reilly, Venturini channeled both depth and irony with a play on words that featured throughout the collection – faithful, family and the “FF” logo itself, of course – incorporating symmetric motifs which landed both on garments and accessories alike. Checks and Pequin stripes also made an appearance on suits, jackets, trousers and anoraks – while touches of yellow were visible, presumably thrown in for good measure.

Weatherproof

Naturally, a mélange of both urban and elegant outdoor-ready-wear dominated the collection – executed via an ultra-functional wardrobe to accompany your journey. This encompassed chic furs, leather and overcoats with thermo-bonded finishes – not to mention actual umbrella-hats for, you know, those showery destinations.
