Wonderland.

LOUIS VUITTON × SELFRIDGES

A new menswear pop-up has landed.

True to the spirit of its founder – the guy who created a genuine “Art of Travel” through designer luggage – Louis Vuitton continues to inspire a wanderlust in us all. Unveiling its SS18 menswear collection by Kim Jones, the house’s Men’s Artistic Director, the luxury brand this week introduces an exclusive pop-up space in London’s popular department store, Selfridges.

Inspired by the idea of exotic islands and travel – I think we’re all entitled to a little holiday dreaming at this point of year – Jones looked to specific locations such as New Zealand, Easter Island and Hawaii, noting that he was “inspired by the idea of an island, and of travel… of moving easily from place to place, and experiencing these different pockets of civilisation, these different identities simultaneously.”

The collection itself is overflowing with vibrant prints and intricate details, all-embracing Hawaiian printed shirts (some with reflective paneling), bomber jackets, the iconic Keepall bag – and even a surfboard. With an iconic retro-pop vehicle the nucleus of the space, the pop-up features in-store for just a limited time (until 28 February only), so take my advice and get planning for a trip before it’s all gone!
