PREMIERE: MR JUKES – “FROM GOLDEN STARS COMES SILVER DEW”

The former Bombay Bicycle Club frontman releases another beauty.

Taken from his fantastic album God First, Mr Jukes – aka Jack Steadman – is dropping the gorgeous “From Golden Stars Comes Silver Dew” featuring soul singer Lalah Hathaway and rapper Barney Artist.

“I still can’t believe Lalah Hathaway is singing on my record.” Steadman says. “Her performance is so effortless and refined. No fat to cut just lean melodies and embellishments. I’ve been a fan of Barney Artist for many years and was really keen to get him on the middle 8. We really clicked in the studio and I hope we can work together again so watch this space.”

A beautiful sun-soaked track, the song samples the 1982 song “There Is A God Somewhere” by Andrew Wartts and is an absolute treat. An album highlight (like pretty much every song), Hathaway’s vocals will completely blow you away while Barney Artist’s expert flow gives the track a refreshing vibe.

“Absolute honour to be on a track with these two incredible talents.” Barney Artist says of the song. “Mr Jukes’s album has been on repeat on my phone since it came out so when he reached out I was super excited and the session was everything I could’ve hoped for and to be on a song with the incredible Lalah Hathaway is a dream come true.”
