While most of us spent our last year of school worrying about the future and pining after our youth by drinking WKDs in parks – or maybe that was just us? – there are a select few who are getting their shit together: such was the case for Dunfermline-based babes, Dancing on Tables. (Dunfermline is a small town right outside Edinburgh, if you were strugglin’ too…)
Forming in their last year of school, the pop rock quintet – made up of Robbie, Callum, Hamish, Gregor and Michael – dropped their debut EP “Don’t Stop” last year. Full of infectious indie jams, the record was rife with mesmerising melodies, and who can resist the Scottish accent, eh?
Now releasing the video for latest track “OH”, the song follows the difficulties of being away from your partner. As Callum explains: “The idea for ‘OH’ came when I was thinking about myself trying to maintain a long distance relationship while at university. It’s a song about the struggles of adapting to the changes you need to make, but also how in the end it is worth it to persevere.”
Shot in a studio, the beautiful song flows effortlessly into anthem territory as it climaxes with a chorus you won’t be able to get out of your head for days. A clear example of the heights the band are bound to reach, start keeping your eye on these boys now…
