Clutching a hot dog has never looked more glamorous than when model, actress, and activist Cara Delevingne is strutting down a neon-lit sidewalk, as she does in the short for Jimmy Choo’s latest campaign: Shimmer in the Dark. The film – below – centres on the streets of New York, a city filledwith pockets of glamour, a perfect reference for the footwear and accessories label’s new collection. Dazzling in a pair of (dazzling) Jimmy Choo boots, here Delevingne is filmed en route to the kind of nightclub you definitely want to be on the guest list for: IWANTCHOO.
Surrounded by neon lights and the sounds of the city, the boots have the bystanders of New York turning their heads and stopping traffic. And with christmas fast approaching (we’ve shamelessly begun our countdown already), this is the perfect time for Jimmy Choo to release such a collection – who doesn’t want a way to feel like Cara come those much-anticipated festive parties?
Filled with shimmer, dazzle, and sparkle, the full line-up (think stories by the name’s of “I Want Choo”, “Disco” and “Borrowed from the Boys”) offers more than a subtle christmas vibe, something Delevingne is clearly on our level about: asked what makes a holiday party invitation irresistible, “Glitter” is the immediate reply. That, and “the notion of celebrating togetherness and coming together with your family and friends as much as possible for Christmas is the appeal for me. So, any invitation is a good invitation.”
