THE PERCEPTION AT W LONDON

Make way Soho, there’s a new bar in town.

London’s Soho is many things to many people – a place of work, a place to have fun, a place in which to pull up a chair and talk till the early hours – which is why when the W Hotel’s General Manager, Martijn Mulder, describes its latest offering as “sure to become the crown jewel in the city’s Soho scene,” it’s worth taking note.

With the red rope cut late last month – hurrah – The Perception at W Hotel is a new bar with an attitude in-keeping with the locale: seamlessly blending “urban edge and London glamour in a uniquely W way,” if you will.

Tapping the Dutch based design firm Concrete to create the IRL aesthetic, the bar elsewhere has launched with a special culinary program (Magnus Reid of C.R.E.A.M and Legs kicking it off), served up at a special communal dining table, while Head Barman Ulises Guerreo Galvez has created an innovative new menu of cocktails.

Sounds come via Mixcloud, with whom W London has partnered for an exciting cultural programme (in-house events to follow), and the door policy means there’s no need to rush off early (3 am on Friday’s and Saturday’s). Frankly we’re not sure whether to make a night of it or save the visit for a brunch style occasion…
