As part of Luisa Via Roma’s exciting LVR series, the Florence-based retailer has paired up with Chinese born, London trailed designer Angel Chen for collab of the summer, number six. Following experimentations with casual design and velvet shoes (Italia Independent and Superga, respectively), the new LVR x Angel Chen collection references traditional Japanese tattoos and Bosozoku, Japan’s biker culture; once again, the edition sticks to the distinctive palette of red and black.

The sixth of seven collabs, the line is made up of three pieces: a denim jacket, a pouch and a windbreaker. The matching jacket and pouch showcase delicate embroidery boasting nature and cranes; the rock star of the collection however, is the windbreaker. The jacket, of a bright red colour, is adorned with Chinese calligraphy and flows loosely.

Titled ‘Unexpected Emotions’, the offering sits beside previous visions from the likes of Dolce & Gabbana and Sergio Rossi – both long since sold out – and precedes Berlin-based Marina Hoermanseder’s grand finale, dropping later this month?
