PREMIERE: MARSICANS – “TOO GOOD”

The indie dreamboats take us into the studio.

Leeds based indie-pop quartet Marsicans are back with a banger: having dropped “Too Good” last month, the dreamy song is now getting some visuals. “Lyrically, the song is about being so in love with someone that you feel like you’re dreaming.” Bassist Rob Brander tells us, “We wanted to use lots of nostalgic references to childhood board games as that’s kind of how love makes you feel, like a kid again.”

And this is reflected in the accompanying video. Watching the lads power through the track whilst surrounded by colourful TV screens, it’s as much a joy for your eyes as it is for your ears. “We knew we wanted to do a performance in the round for the video and we also had ideas about stacking up loads of old televisions with glitchy 90’s video game style imagery running through them. We worked with our director friend Ben Hale on the idea, it’s great working with someone you’re close to on videos as you can get really involved with the process all the way through. We were also lucky to get some incredible dancers in who choreographed a routine to the track, and we’re really pleased with how everything turned out. Lots of love to all those involved!”
