Wonderland.

Coach × Selena Gomez

Ms. Gomez continues her bid for world domination as she makes her designer debut.

Singer/actress/producer/activist/Wonderbabe Selena Gomez is using 2017 to prove there’s really nothing she can’t do. Between latest drops, “It Ain’t Me”, “Bad Liar” and “Fetish” (with killer visuals from Petra Collins, who also shot her dreamy 10th Anniversary Wonderland cover) she’s got the music game sewn up, elsewhere boasting an executive producer credit for 13 Reasons Why and her undisouted reign as the queen of Instagram – and it’s only August.

Now, Selena unveils her debut collection with All-American luxury brand Coach, adding designer to her ever-growing resume. The collaboration saw her get hands-on with Creative Director Stuart Vevers to create a range of small leathers and accessories, with Gomez being an obvious choice for the brand. Vevers says “Selena is charming. She’s got a warmth that’s special. There is a realness to her. To me, she speaks to a generation.”

The standout piece is undoubtedly the Selena Grace bag, a double-handled carryall inspired by the star in not only name but style and functionality; “I love a bag that is easy, and has room to fit my life! A bag that goes with everything is so important to me – I need to be able to have a bag for months and not change it out. I am always on the move so I literally have everything in there” she says. Streamlined and functional, the bag is designed to go with everything and comes in Selena’s favourite colours. The range – which includes bag charms, wallets and the Selena Wristlet – is studded with the star’s personal touches. Vevers reveals, “She added the heart charm and her signature on the hangtag. ‘Love yourself first’ is after one of her tattoos and we embossed it on the bottom of the bag in her handwriting. The story patch includes her signature along with a quote from her ‘to be you is to be strong’.”

Available in limited numbers, the collection launches globally from 1st September at Coach stores.
