Founded in Florence in the 1930s, Luisa Via Roma has been dropping collaborations at an alarming rate – good for wardrobes but bad for bank balances – the most recent variety as part of its Editions collections.

To date pairings have seen the brand involved with the likes of Sergio Rossi, Superga, Dalara Findikoglu and Dolce and Gabbana: all four collabs released in the space of one just month. Now LVR is staying true to its Italian roots (again), as it’s giving all its love and attention to lifestyle label Italia Independent – synonymous with innovative and exciting eyewear designs – for its fifth Edition.

The old adage of good things coming in three rings true once again here, as the collaboration not only includes co-branded sunglasses but also a hoodie and T-shirt. Sticking to a classic and understated palette of black, white and red, Italia Independent has created new pieces illustrative of the its current period of renaissance; the slogan ‘No Future Without A Past’ is emblazoned on the back of both the latter pieces.
