PRADA × GALERIES LAFAYETTE

The house lands 16 exquisite windows and a series of pop-ups.

A spot in Paris’s Galeries Lafayette has long been revered: a series of window displays and a pop-up, ridiculously sought after. But such is Prada’s standing within the industry, anything less than the house’s 16 new windows – 11 on boulevard Haussmann, four at the menswear entrance and another perfume focused one on rue de Mogador – and accompanying two pop-ups, would somehow be rude. Right?

Pretty complete as takeovers go – the brand’s presence is also felt on the sky bridge that links the department store’s two premises, boasting an XL sized version of the iconic Prada Trick Robots – while the in-store pop-up’s are separated into men’s and women’s, the former serving up a selection RTW and accessories, the latter accessories and bags.

In part a continuation of Miuccia’s long term exploration of the role of women in contemporary society, a sequence of posters is present here to highlight the designer’s cause, as elsewhere the space reverts to the AW17 show, communicating ideas of both the private and public, as the visuals below concur. In Paris anytime now until the 20th? You know where to head.
