We’ve all, at some point or another, decided our trip to the local corner shop would be bettered with an impromptu photoshoot: the bright lights and similarly glowing food packets – accompanied by a cute outfit, fresh kicks and an XL sized bottle of prosecco – are an Instagram fave.
Premiering their latest output on Wonderland today, south London duo Blessed have gone one further, shooting the video for new track “My Yute” in their local with the help of photographer and videographer Victor Kovachev. “’My Yute’ is all about the hype you have when having your friend’s back,” explain sisters Lauren and Georgia Morgan of the track. “It’s about putting your batch on a pedestal and letting everyone know that.”
“As much as ‘My Yute’ has a serious tone to it, when thinking of the concept for the video we wanted to highlight the fun, tongue in cheek aspect of the song,” the pair continue. “We had so much fun and energy whilst writing this, so we wanted this to come through in the video.” We’d suggest this is definitely the case.
