Joe Banfi burst onto the scene with his solo experiment in 2012 to much critical acclaim. After gaining two band mates – Aaron Graham and Chris McCuaig – the eponymous Banfi was born, showcasing guitar-pop at its purest. This year they’ll embark on their first headline tour across the UK in September, but not before stopping off at Truck and Y Not festival to unleash some guitar-pop grooves.
Banfi puts shoegaze-esque, psychedelic aesthetics on the table in their latest release She Comes Home with lyrics laid bare for all to see in-between flickering images of TV sets, burning buildings and picturesque landscapes adding to the band’s multi-layered, energetic sound.
