Pirelli Calendar 2018

Venture down the rabbit hole with Tim Walker and Edward Enninful.

With a heritage that dates back to the 60s, the Pirelli Calendar has grown to become perhaps the most desirable annual planner on the planet – unfortunately, like all the best things in life, it remains one of the hardest to get your hands on!

Previously lensed by the likes of Bruce Weber, Annie Leibovitz and Mario Testino, Pirelli has tapped ethereal photographer Tim Walker and newly appointed Vogue editor, Edward Enninful for its latest offering. Focusing on diversity, the calendar champions an all-black cast in a unique interpretation of Alice in Wonderland. With a dream team cast that combinines international talents like RuPaul as The Queen of Hearts, Duckie Thot as Alice, Naomi Campbell as The Royal Beheader and former Wonderbabe Sasha Lane as The Mad March Hare, (what a panto that would be!) the calendar draws inspo from the original John Tenniel illustrations featured in the iconic Lewis Carroll novel.

This isn’t the first time that Pirelli has (rightfully) opted to devise an all-black calendar, back in 1987 Terence Donovan photographed a series of topless female models, including a then 16-year-old Campbell in the early days of her career. A (literal) world away from the 80s edition, the 2018 version is certain to be just as groundbreaking and unique; one that’ll go down in Pirelli history.
