CSM grad Dilara Findikoglu has quickly become synonymous with boundary-bending designs, focusing a punk-infused pro-feminist methodology into her work in its most literal sense – expressed through female anatomy embroidered onto cloth, throwback artistic interpretations of naked women attached to skirts and shorts and collections that highlight the varying interpretations of women over the course of history.
On the back of her ultra-gothic AW17 collection – in which models brandished super satanic face paint and head gear whilst donning an array of hell-infused pieces, certain to make you feel like you’re in the costume cupboard of an edgy Addams Family remake (we’d live for the dress rehearsals!) – the designer has teamed up with Luisa Via Roma for LVR Editions.
The third of three exclusive collaborations – so far – representing the evolution of the brand, Findikoglu’s line-up falls alongside Dolce and Gabbana (which has now sold out) and Sergio Rossi , while Italia Independent, Angel Chen and Marina Hoermanseder have elsewhere been tapped by LVR and will drop new hook-ups before the year is out.
For her collaboration, Findikoglu has created a unique red glitterbomb tracksuit with patchwork detailing. Ensuring that her underworld design aesthetic is apparent, the patches feature devilish imagery with the words SATANTIC TERROR appearing on the front left breast detailing. We can’t wait for 21st July!
Can’t wait? Countdown here.
