MIU MIU: PRESERVATION HALL AND OTHER STORIES

Alasdair McLellan lenses New Orleans.

Steeped in Southern glory, the Alasdair McLellan for Miu Miu campaign returns for AW17, this time around posing a composition of timeless effervescence with a soft touch. Shot in New Orleans, the house’s latest offering celebrates the wild and retro – superimposing jazzy fluid dresses with dazzling faux-furs and clashing prints on the backdrop of the Mississippi bayou, where glamour, opulence and contemporary shapes collide.

Heading up the campaign is a stellar line-up of diverse talent, from the bejewelled Naomie Harris, whose recent performance in Moonlight landed her an Oscar nod, while elsewhere Kate Moss, model and activist Adwoa Aboah and her sister Kesewa all feature; models Missy Rayder, Jean Campbell, Wonderbabe Eliza Cummings, Lily Nova, Rose Daniels and Jasmine Daniels also co-star, as the Preservation Hall Brass Brand set the tone (a lively and, presumably, melodic wonderland).

Props to Miuccia, as the legendary designer builds another vivid story around a seriously covetable collection.
