Wonderland.

Playlist: courtship.

The synthpop duo put together some of their fave summer jams.

Eli Hirsch and Micah Gordon are about to become the soundtrack to your summer. The LA based pair create beautifully crafted hazy summer songs echoing early MGMT. With only four songs to their name, they are already establishing themselves as the go-to guys for sunshine soaked indie pop, dropping their latest single – “Perfect People” – on the expertly timed first day of the summer season. As the warm months are now getting closer (finally!), we asked Eli and Micah to put together their ideal summer playlist and they did not disappoint…

Sheryl Crow – “Soak Up The Sun”

Those early 2000’s drums and chorused guitar riff set the vibe perfectly. Our mom’s showed us this song and we’re forever grateful.

Stevie Wonder – “Do I Do”

Stevie is the king, and one of the greatest songwriters to have ever graced this earth. This song just makes you feel amazing with its relentless groove.

Calvin Harris – “Ready for The Weekend”

If you know, you know…that Calvin Harris started out making pure funky synth pop. This is one of our favs and believe it or not, gets you ready for the weekend.

Kevin Lyttle – “Turn Me On”

This song puts you right there. Just throw this on and picture yourself partying on some heavenly Caribbean beach.

Katy Perry – “Teenage Dream”

One of the best songs of the last 20 years. Period. Unabashed pop bliss.

Beach Boys – “Don’t Worry Baby”

What else is there to say, its the Beach Boys. The harmonies on this song are incredible and the chorus takes you up to a place far far away…

Dua Lipa – “Be The One”

This is one of our favorite songs that has come out recently. We love Queen Dua and she gets us good with her Fleetwood Mac-type vocals blaring over the hook.

Whitney Houston – “How Will I Know”

Such a fun listen. The 40 second intro is enough to get you dancing and Whitney’s vocal performance is out of this world.
