Wonderland.

Premiere: Empara Mi – "Spoon" feat. Kojey Radical

We head off an a road trip in her latest vid.

Following up last year’s fantastic releases “The Come Down” and “Wanderlust”, Empara Mi is back with her latest offering “Spoon”. Emotive and raw, the song deals with Empara’s crossroads that she found herself at while on the road to self realisation. Speaking on the track, she says, “You start to question what’s around you as well as what’s in front of you. Its just growing up I guess. That coming of age, when you start to view yourself as an entity and not just one of your peers.”

Enlisting the help of the brilliant Kojey Radical to feature on the track, today Empara is dropping the visuals. Documenting a group of young people on a day out, the video follows their recklessness and eventual realisation of their life choices. Directed by Olly Jennings, Empara says, “When I approached Olly with the song he immediately got it. He wanted to represent the ‘group’ and contrast it with the solitude of being young and finding yourself. Also with us all being fans of ‘House of Pharaohs’ it made sense to have them in the video as they represent exactly what I’m talking about, this fearless young generation, just going for it.”
