Celebrating 26 years of bridging the gap between graduation and employment, Graduate Fashion Week begins this weekend. Featuring designs from uni grads from all over the country in catwalk shows and presentations, it’s a fab way to spot emerging design talent before they go global, and the clothes are incredible! It’s no surprise that GFW has launched the careers of many of our fave designers (think Christopher Bailey, Stella McCartney and Giles Deacon).
As well as checking out the insane design talent, there’s the opportunity to see some fascinating talks with industry professionals on all areas of fashion, you could be picking up some valuable advice from Henry Holland or the minds behind Boohoo. The week finishes with the Gala Awards Show, where the best designers will be presented with their prizes, solidifying them as part of the fashion elite.
GFW have also launched their Talent of Tomorrow campaign, featuring eight graduates to look out for, who are tipped to be the next big thing in fashion design. With their designs shot by Damian Foxe in the Truman Brewery, home of GFW17, these are the names to remember.
