Overlooking the stunning San Antonio port, the hotel at O Beach Ibiza boasts a crisp white exterior and a glorious turquoise pool within its grounds; an accompanying deck bar offers great views of the similarly majestic Mediterranean. Despite being housed nearby clubs and party venues the noise pollution is non-existent, instead a peaceful atmosphere exists throughout.
During Wonderland’s stay brunch (all five courses of it) was courtesy of TBH Naeco’s in-house chef, while perhaps the hotel’s brightest room (think XL sized windows and streaming sunlight) played host. Down on O Beach, pre-party glitter won us over, as Kiss My Fairy gave us a sprinkling with all manner of metallic. As for the party itself, think king capacity and better than the bestest cocktails. A properly summery vibe, the disc jockeys did good on getting the crowd shaking; elsewhere an acrobatic performance saw people not only flying across the sky, but riding inflatable elephants too. Spectacular can only begin to describe it.
Away from the nightlife, a yacht picked up from the marina offered perhaps the best view of the island, all crystal clear bays (and folks in their cossies embracing said bays), as well as a few quiet moments to reflect on how tranquil the While Isle can be. On the gourmet side, dinner at STK Ibiza and breakfast at the Skinny Kitchen are sure fired return again and again places, the former providing more aural festivities, the latter the type of light, healthy stuff that works best after a yoga session. Over at Pikes, the best alfresco Sunday roast is matched only by the fine décor.
