MAGNUM × MOSCHINO

Jeremy Scott and Cara Delevingne team up to ‘Release the Beast’.

Summer’s fast approaching – in case recent clouds had left you confused – and with it a handful of life’s small pleasures. Top of our list? That first ice cream of the year, the one that confirms the season has well and truly arrived and brings back a rose tinted nostalgia for trips to the ice cream man after school.

Clearly Jeremy Scott and Cara Delevingne are on the same page (clearly) tapped by freezer section megabrand Magnum for the latter’s new campaign, ‘Release the Beast’, a celebration of the Magnum Double.

While Delevingne fronts the project, the Moschino creative director has directed a new short, above, working with legendary animator (think Who Framed Roger Rabbit and Space Jam), Uli Meyer. “The collaboration, from designing the beasts to directing the film has been beyond fun for me,” notes Scott of the campaign.

“Working with Cara was amazing, and being bold with fashion is something I try to bring to life in my work every day,” he continues, “Fashion is that element of expression that gives you pleasure and allows for you to show off your personality and attitude.” Likewise naming your favourite flavour.

Maintaining their title as top of the luxe ice group (something we just coined), Magnum will debut the next part of the campaign in a “big reveal” at the Canne International Film Festival on 18th May. Naturally.
