Randy III

The Danish label samples contemporary counterculture.

Whereas the previous collection had clear punk influences, in ‘Collection III’ Danish label Randy has graduated to a more understated rebellion, while maintaining its allegiance to the underbelly of society. Militaristic in style with references to army wear, uniform colours of khaki and navy with shiny metal accents contrast with floral silks in the kind of slim silhouettes Randy has always emphasised.

To model said looks, local musicians were cast from founder Adrian Soelberg’s hometown of Copenhagen. Inspired by the infamous underground music scene of East Berlin, a culture that is slowly being defined by its exclusivity, Collection III is a glimpse into what is the first attempt of a group to claw back its privacy. With Randy, Soelberg has taken inspiration from the people are the forefront of counterculture and the result, pictured here, is a collection that is both youthful and alternative, but in a quieter, more subtle way than its predecessors, coming from a new generation where privacy is prioritised.
