Premiere – Blanco White – "El Búho"

A worldly man who has honed his craft.

Blanco White is a worldly man. Honing his craft through travelling the world, White (real name, Josh Edwards) has perfected the guitar in Spain and the charango in Bolivia. So naturally, the Londoner’s sound is one infused with exotic flair and experimentation and has seen the singer songwriter draw appropriate comparisons to Damian Rice. Having recently finished a successful tour in his hometown, London, White has a sound that weaves together closer-to-home Anglo-American folk and the Andean and Flamenco influences he has found on his travels.

Blanco White’s latest offering is “El Búho”, the first track from his newly released “Colder Heavens” EP. It’s a name that would have you thinking this EP isn’t suited for long, hot, summer days, but don’t be fooled. Following the success of his self-produced debut “The Wind Rose” EP in 2016, White is back with an equally impressive collection of songs that will have you dreaming of hotter climates too.
