Those privy to London’s nightlife – and the east in particular – will no doubt be aware of the Ace Hotel’s fun-heavy calendar; from its exquisite delivery of events on the roof up top, to the parties that fill basement club Miranda, its spaces are routinely the venue for high class shits and giggles. Likewise Hoi Polloi, the in-house restaurant devised by the team behind Bistrotheque (Pablo Flack and David Waddington), a modern brasserie that doubles up as a prime party location.

Beginning next month, a new Thursday night regular: Super Hot Sitting Spot. The premise? To make dinner times fun. The tipple? Oh Doris, a new cocktail dreamt up especially for the occasion. Running weekly from the 6th to the 27th April, the team have tapped a strong line-up of DJ’s to entertain, from Horse Meat Disco’s Severino (who kicks off proceedings) and Whitney Weiss, to menswear journo royalty Charlie Porter – manning the decks on the 20th – and Hannah Holland.
