Premiere: Nate Connelly – "You Got Feel"

Slip into the sultry space of Nate Connelly.

As his forthcoming album “Fragments” would suggest, Nate Connelly has been long acquainted with the spacey world of synths and sequencers. Born and raised on the North-West coast of the scenic seaside resort, St Annes On Sea, Connelly would often command his way around his brother’s bedroom studio, filled with all the musical gadgets that would form the success of the man we see today. With having already scored over 20 multi-award-winning films and with his new album “Fragments” due for release later this month – Connelly is certainly one to watch.

Finding inspiration in a place most people wouldn’t venture, here he explains how he found inspiration in the broken CD for sultry new track “You Got Feel”: “The stuttering, irritating effect you get when your disc is scratched and stuck, or your CD player is on its last legs. What if you could take something like that and create compositions out of it? Maybe it could be the opposite of irritating, maybe it could be interesting at least, musical, or even moving. For me this album encapsulates the broad scope of my interests as a composer and producer.”
