CARHARTT WIP × P.A.M.

The brands team up for new ‘Radio Club’ collection.

There’s playing the nostalgia card and then there’s playing the nostalgia card, and both are concepts we’re fully into at Wonderland HQ. For its latest outing then, Carhartt WIP has teamed up with Aussie brand Perks and Mini, for a new capsule collection that focuses its attention on a time pre-internet, back when Instagram and the like was just a twinkle in Kevin Systrom’s eye.

The fourth hook up between the streetwear labels – the first to include both men’s and womenswear – the new line-up is titled ‘Radio Club’ and explores the use of CB radio as a means of global communication; a throwback to when people spoke anonymously with false monikers such as ‘the Hairy Grape’ and ‘Pork Chop’, exchanged music and swapped cards confirming radio contact.

Made up of tees, sweaters, jumpers and accessories, the new collection drops on Friday – 31st – with an in-store party announcing its arrival in Berlin’s Mitte branch on Thursday. As well as bold fonts the pieces are fronted by retro and photo graphics and speak fluently in contemporary ideas of cool.
