A South Los Angeles native, WENS, 18, learnt the power of her voice over a decade ago and has been nurturing it ever since. She began writing songs age 13 and is set to release her debut EP imminently.
“Bleed”, the first single off of WENS’s forthcoming EP, is imbued with a sense of serenity and wisdom far beyond her years. An exploration of her emotions, “Bleed” see’s angelic harmonies placed in direct contrast with the songs dark analog synth undertones. WENS’s explains the inspiration behind the track: “I wrote “Bleed” because I was so scared of losing someone, and it took me writing this song to finally realise he was never really mine to lose in the first place… and he’s an asshole anyway so I’m better off.”
