Bryde – aka Sarah Howells – is the Welsh singer/songwriter who’s unmistakable vocals and assured emotional touch elevated her to new heights in 2016. Fierce and fragile in equal measure, her music is honest and relatable, reflecting the greats such as PJ Harvey.
Bryde’s most recent project, “Less”, sees her collaboration with producer Bill Ryder-Jones reach unprecedented artistic heights. Acrimonious lyrics in direct contrast with Bryde’s ethereal, alt-rock infused tone create the perfect soundtrack to combat current political blues. And as people begin head-banging in the accompanying video, it is hard not to want to join in the fun.
Touring the UK from the 19th April to the 20th May, this girl’s definitely one to watch.
