GAP × LANDLORD

GAP taps Ryohei Kawanishi’s label for a new collab.

New York label Landlord presents a new capsule collection in collaboration with Gap, dropping today exclusively at the brand’s I Am Gap pop-up store in Covent Garden.

The man behind the brand, Japanese designer Ryohei Kawanishi is a snug fit for Gap – his debut collection, launched for AW16, sought inspiration from 90s era Gap, with the stripped back aesthetic and slight military influence feeling right at home. Founding the label in 2015, Kawanishi is a product of Central Saint Martins and Parsons, here he joins Gap’s rich history of championing community and inclusivity.

Comprised of staples in a neutral palette featuring grey and white – think hoodies and logo T-shirts – Kawanishi’s capsule collection has just landed at 30-31 Long Acre alongside the brand’s current SS17 offering; the store itself is only in place for a limited six weeks.
