Palm Honey – “Tucked Into The Electronic Wave”

Palm Honey go transformative and experimental in their new EP “Tucked Into The Electronic Wave”.

Spangling, glimmering and otherworldly, Reading/London band Palm Honey’s brand new EP, “Tucked Into The Electronic Wave”, is the most avant-garde place they’ve ever pushed their music to. We’re big fans of their previous tracks, including “You Stole My Blackout” – read our latest interview with them here – but their latest tracks are more hypnotic and electrifying than ever before. From the first track “Palace” (developed from Palm Honey’s original 2014 unfinished demo) to “Going Normal”, where harmonies and acoustic guitar create a dreamy haze, “Tucked Into The Electronic Wave” is a supersonic ride that shows you everything Palm Honey has to offer.

With a theme of introspection, the EP confronts neurosis and discomfort; “Tucked Into The Electronic Wave” pulses with grooving psych-rock and intensely euphoric shoegaze-y melodies, drenched in a reverb that parallels the woozy saxophones and warped guitars. Tinged with elements krautrock, electronica, shoegaze and psychedelia, Palm Honey’s soundscape in “Tucked In The Electronic Wave” is a dreamlike, entrancing and harmonious juggernaut that shows us the best that Palm Honey have to offer.
