Kenzo: "Club Ark Eternal"

KENZO unveil their short film “CLUB ARK ETERNAL” for Resort and Men’s SS17 collections.

Carol Lim and Humberto Leon have made KENZO and dance a legendary double act. Following success with Spike Jonze’s ‘KENZO World’ advert and Jean-Paul Goude’s H&M X KENZO show, it’s only right that they would incorporate their signature striking choreography into the introduction of their KENZO Resort and Men’s SS17 collections.

Directed by Partel Olivia and with movement direction by choreographer Ryan Heffington, the short film celebrates night life and the progressive communities who emerge from it. The film aims to show why clubs need to be protected; KENZO highlight clubs as a place where alternative forces battling racism, sexual oppression and class violence, with the film showing how these clubs provide a haven-like zone to come together and allow people to express their true selves without judgement or inhibition. With original music by Lafawndah and BR-RR, it’s a tribute to the kids who brave snow and rain so they can express themselves on the dance floor. The film is stunningly provocative and a love letter to club kids around the world that continue to inspire us.
