LFWM: Casely-Hayford AW17

Casely-Hayford serves up a mostly mono-chrome masterpiece for AW17.

Mad For Monochrome

Despite a few bold outliers, Casely-Hayford AW17 is mostly a dark affair, populated by grey, black and navy pieces to match the A/W mood. With large grey overcoats and black trousers covered in grey textured circles, this collection is most certainly a dream for colour-snubbers. Despite the monochrome, there are a few standout pieces including a striking orange piece which is perfectly juxtaposed with the rest of the collection.

Tailoring Twist

Much like the SS17 collection, Casely-Hayford have continued to reinvent and add character to classically cut pieces. The traditional tailoring gets a fresh twist through shredded fabrics, over-sized collars and a contrast of textures, ensuring that the classic pant-suit takes on a whole new life, embodying the age-old ‘new year, new me’ mantra, obvz!

Delivering Diversity

Evidently a diverse offering, the collection served up a mixture of prints and textures, and even new ways to wear your coat (as a scarf, of course!) The womenswear within the collection proved that bolder is better, with striped trousers and 70s style printed shirts and skirts at the forefront of the showing. This eclectic collection makes certain that you’ll have a fresh aesthetic every day of the A/W season.
